Shift:
First Shift (United States of America) Outpatient Phlebotomist Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team and support patients in our outpatient setting. In this role, you will be an essential part of a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of patient collections, order entry/retrieval, and charting. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting, bringing both technical expertise and a positive attitude to support our patients. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with at least 6 months of hospital or clinic phlebotomy experience. Strong blood draw skills are essential, as this role does not include basic phlebotomy training.
Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hr/wk Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday call shift 9:30 AM - 6:00

Duties:
Outpatient Phlebotomist Responsible for collection and transportation of patient specimens for clinical laboratory testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment, represent the lab in a professional manner, and provide excellent customer service. May process and distribute patient specimen for clinical laboratory testing.
Required Qualifications:
Outpatient Phlebotomist Minimum of 18 years of age required. High school education or equivalent required. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required. Computer experience required. Attention to detail required. Ability to multitask required. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Outpatient Phlebotomist Direct patient care experience or completion of a phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred. Phlebotomy certification PBT (ASCP) preferred.
