In this role, you will be responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients, following established safety and accuracy procedures. Draw blood specimens accurately and safely, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in accordance with protocol. Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture for specimen labeling validation. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment in all patient interactions and work areas. Record necessary data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards. Identify and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organizational efficiency. Communicate openly and professionally with patients, colleagues, and supervisors to foster trust and confidence. Required Skills Strong phlebotomy skills across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in patient documentation and data entry. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially for candidates in California, Nevada, and Washington. Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Experience working in a patient service center environment is preferred. Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with every other Saturday at the same location. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record if applicable. Capable of travel and flexible hours to cover multiple locations as needed.
