Duties Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary puncture using aseptic technique, ensuring patient comfort and safety Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly in both Spanish and English to promote understanding and cooperation Handle, label, and process specimens accurately according to laboratory protocols to maintain specimen integrity Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards and safety guidelines Prep specimens for testing, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and proper storage or transport Experience Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical setting preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy techniques such as venipuncture and blood sampling Knowledge of laboratory procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to specimen collection and processing Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation accuracy Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, ensuring clear understanding for diverse patient populations Ability to lift heavy objects safely when handling supplies or specimens while maintaining proper body mechanics Join us as a Bilingual Spanish/English Phlebotomy Technician if you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care through precise laboratory work.
