Shift Job Summary:
Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.
Position Responsibilities:
Patient identification, phlebotomy, specimen labeling Specimen verification, processing, shipment and front loading on instruments for testing Performs pre-analytical processes including registration, and ordering Provides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. Performs clerical functions including but not limited to telephone communication, report generation and faxing
Required Experience:
Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Training / Certification

Licensure:
Formal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.
Hourly Rate:
$18.89 - $27.81 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
