Shift:
Mon-Wed, Fri-Sat (8:30 am-3:30 pm) Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in patient care by expertly collecting blood samples and performing related laboratory procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing to support diagnostic testing and treatment. Your enthusiasm for patient service, attention to detail, and proficiency in laboratory techniques will contribute directly to improving health outcomes and enhancing patient experiences. Duties Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other approved techniques while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Perform vital signs measurements such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist clinical assessments. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during specimen collection and processing. Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and specimen details in compliance with hospital policies. Assist with patient care activities by providing compassionate service, explaining procedures clearly, and addressing patient concerns. Support laboratory operations by adhering to established laboratory procedures and assisting with inventory management of supplies. Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques related to blood sampling and specimen processing. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory practices. Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood draws), blood sampling, and specimen handling. Familiarity with hospital environments, including understanding of hospital protocols and patient care standards. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and provide reassurance during procedures. Knowledge of vital signs measurement techniques and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination or infection. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
