A Phlebotomist collects blood samples from patients for medical tests. May also perform routine laboratory test on samples. Works in a healthcare facility or in a laboratory.
We are seeking experienced and flexible Phlebotomists to support multiple patient service centers in the Princeton and Plainsboro, NJ areas. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can adapt to changing staffing needs caused by call-outs and fluctuating patient volumes. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing blood collections, specimen processing, patient registration support, and EKGs while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining compliance with laboratory standards.

Hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Flexible availability is required and candidates may be scheduled for early morning, daytime, or evening shifts. Schedules are typically provided two weeks in advance. Employees are generally assigned to one site per day; however, due to call-outs and coverage needs, travel between multiple locations during the same shift may be required. Primary coverage locations include Princeton and Plainsboro Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages. Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Perform EKGs as needed. Ensure specimen integrity and adherence to laboratory protocols. Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation. Provide excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience. Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures. Travel between assigned locations as needed. Assist with coverage for staffing shortages and same-day schedule adjustments when required. Qualifications Required Minimum 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a high-volume healthcare or laboratory setting. Experience performing venipuncture with confidence and accuracy. Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to changing staffing needs. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations. Preferred Experience working in high-volume laboratory environments Experience performing EKGs. Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program. Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. They are willing to travel between locations, assist with coverage needs, and provide excellent patient care while maintaining laboratory quality standards.
