Summary:
Roswell Park is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join out Central Lab Services Team.
Some Key Responsibilities will include:
Collect laboratory specimens from patients and healthy donors to support clinical care and research initiatives. -Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, butterfly, and microsampling techniques, at the patient bedside or in approved Roswell -Park outpatient locations. Ensure accurate patient identification, registration, and proper handling of laboratory orders within Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems. Process and label specimens in accordance with established protocols to maintain quality, accuracy, and patient safety. Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines during specimen collection and handling. Starting hourly rate is $18.33
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in performing phlebotomy and collection techniques; or 2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of an approved Phlebotomy certificate program. 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience performing phlebotomy and collection techniques.
