Position:
Certified Phlebotomist The Phlebotomist provides expertise in blood draws and specimen preparation. The ability to put patients at ease and obtain sufficient samples with minimal discomfort to patients across a wide demographic is critical to our commitment to high quality care for our patients and those of our partners.
Schedule:
Full Time - Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri 5a-9a
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist provides expertise in blood draws and specimen preparation. Their ability to put patients at ease and obtain sufficient samples with minimal discomfort to patients across a wide demographic is critical to our commitment to high quality care.
Organizational Responsibilities:
Adheres to standards of practice as set forth in policy and guidelines to assure safety. Uses supplies and institutional resources in a financially responsible manner. Maintains an orderly, clean and safe work environment. Maintains appropriate and professional personal appearance. Assists in the training process of new personnel. Participates in staffing patterns that reflect variable demands in service. Uses flexibility and innovation while problem solving. Demonstrates initiative in expanding and sharing knowledge. Communicates with coworkers while adhering always to laboratory policies for the protection of the privacy of patient health information and confidentiality. Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Communicates necessary information to supervisor or team leader in support of unit.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Experience:
Prior clinical laboratory experience, preferred. Must be a certified phlebotomist
Skills:
Knowledge and skill of laboratory equipment and testing to operate, clean, and sterilize instruments. Promotes positive co-worker relationships, teamwork and cooperation, both within the department and across departmental lines. Works collaboratively and is respectful of others. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong time-management and organizational skills are required.

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
