A Phlebotomist collects blood samples from patients for medical tests. May also perform routine laboratory test on samples. Works in a healthcare facility or in a laboratory.
ALS provides lab, courier, and phlebotomy services for our local and surrounding counties (Stark, Wayne, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Holmes Counties).
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary purpose of the position is to draw blood and collect body fluid specimens in an accurate and safe manner as designated by the department policies and procedures under the direction of the Unit Director or designated Technical Specialist. Position requires rotation of location, shifts, weekend and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS

Adhere to hospital dress code policy and maintains a professional appearance. Follows universal precautions at all times. SKILLS Must be an experienced phlebotomist; able to work independently. WORKING CONDITIONS
6:30am-5:00pm M-F / 7:00am-12:00pm Saturday or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the shift. Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
