Responsibilities Perform blood collection via venipuncture and capillary techniques, adhering to aseptic procedures and safety protocols Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, and processing in accordance with laboratory standards Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support accurate testing and diagnosis Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during collection Follow all laboratory procedures related to specimen transport, storage, and chain of custody requirements Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen handling, and data entry Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, or clinical laboratory work with a focus on blood sampling and specimen collection Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from an accredited organization Strong understanding of laboratory techniques including venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen handling Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely when necessary for specimen transport or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments Join us as an Independent Contractor (Phlebotomy) to advance your career in medical laboratory services while enjoying the flexibility of independent work.
