Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team for morning coverage throughout Los Angeles County. The ideal candidate will provide professional, compassionate blood collection services in a mobile setting, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and specimen integrity. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, patient care, and safety protocols to support accurate diagnostics and effective patient service. Prior laboratory or clinical experience is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using proper techniques such as venipuncture and aseptic methods Collect, process, and label specimens accurately according to established protocols Ensure patient safety and comfort during specimen collection, including vital signs monitoring when necessary Maintain proper documentation of all procedures and specimens in compliance with hospital or laboratory policies Follow strict infection control practices, including aseptic techniques and proper handling of biohazard materials Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory, ensuring integrity and proper storage conditions Assist with patient care activities as needed, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions Adhere to all safety guidelines related to physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical terminology during procedures Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings Certification or training in phlebotomy, with demonstrated venipuncture skills (blood sampling) Knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen collection/processing, and medical terminology Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments preferred Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and patient care principles Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control standards This position offers a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in patient diagnostics while working in a professional healthcare environment dedicated to delivering exceptional quality care.
