Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where your expertise in blood collection will play a vital role in patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Responsibilities Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture or capillary techniques with skill and confidence Verify patient identities and ensure proper labeling of specimens to prevent errors Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and answering questions to ease anxiety Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper disposal of sharps and biohazard materials Record accurate collection details in electronic health records or paper logs promptly and thoroughly Transport specimens securely to laboratory facilities following established procedures Assist with inventory management of collection supplies and notify supervisors when stock levels are low Skills Proven proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to comfort and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations Strong attention to detail to ensure specimen integrity and accurate documentation Knowledge of safety standards related to blood collection, infection control, and biohazard handling Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, patient needs, and clinical priorities Certification as a Phlebotomist (preferred but not mandatory; training provided if necessary) Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills directly contribute to life-saving diagnostics. Pay:
$23.76 - $28.62 per hour
