Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate Phlebotomist to join our small primary care and wellness clinic on a PRN/part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients in a team-oriented outpatient setting. Duties and Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and efficiently Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing Maintain accurate patient documentation in EMR Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines Maintain stocked, clean work areas Assist with patient flow and other clinic duties as needed Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care Assemble and set up medical instruments (needles, test tubes, blood vials, etc.) Monitor the patient for reactions; monitor equipment operations Educate patient on immediate aftercare Provide patient care and support Record and maintain daily start up procedures and Quality Control procedures. Check finished lab results to match manifest daily Log and perform lab draws and other in-house labs for scheduled and walk in patients. Enter future lab orders into patients' electronic chart
