Pediatrics through Geriatrics Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in performing high‑volume blood draws while supporting workflow efficiency, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards for patient care and specimen integrity. This role requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws using straight and/or butterfly needles. Collect, label, centrifuge, split, store, and package specimens according to established protocols and test requirements. Accurately match laboratory requisitions with specimen tubes and verify all orders with 100% accuracy. Update patient information, record maintenance data, and follow all decontamination procedures. Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes (blood, urine, fecal, etc.). Ensure specimen integrity by following proper temperature guidelines and transport procedures. Fully understand and interpret physician orders. Answer incoming calls and relay laboratory results when appropriate. Maintain compliance with OSHA, DEP, and facility standards. Attend required annual trainings. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting. Ability to perform up to 40 blood draws per day . Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite . High School Diploma or GED required . Ability to float between IOP and PSC sites (mileage reimbursed). What We're Looking For A detail‑oriented, skilled phlebotomist who can manage workflow, troubleshoot issues, and provide exceptional patient service. A team player who is also capable of functioning independently in various clinical settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Conroe, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
