Job Description

The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders has more than 60 cancer specialists and 400 healthcare professionals representing many different areas of medical and administrative services across 22 locations throughout North Texas. Duties/Responsibilities:
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling, processing, and maintaining records of patient test results. Perform routine phlebotomy Be able to execute routine and complex laboratory testing Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed. Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance. Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specification. Performs equipment and assay verifications, validation and equivalencies according to the approved plans. Participates in regulatory agency inspection readiness and onsite inspections. Communicates effectively and timely as needed to co-workers, management, medical directors, and other divisions.TRAVEL AND HOURS

Associate's degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution is preferred but not required. Phlebotomy certificatePhysical Requirements:
