About Sagis Diagnostics Sagis is an entirely physician-led pathology group backed by a CLIA and CAP-accredited histology laboratory. With board-certified and subspecialty-trained pathologists always within reach, we deliver the highest quality services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals. Our commitment to quality and excellence is built upon our expertise and the utilization of the latest diagnostic tools. Providing accurate, prompt, and clear diagnoses in a personal and customizable manner, we prioritize our referring physicians' needs. As a patient-centric facility, we strive to deliver the best medical care possible. Sagis Diagnostics is seeking a full-time Specimen Collector in Ingram, TX. Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of urine and oral fluid specimens Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify the patient Properly label specimens and complete the requisition form via paper or online portal Follow policies and procedures to properly package and ship specimens Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base Follow universal precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines Inform Supervisor of daily tasks, unusual problems or deviations from established procedures Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures of Sagis while working at the physician's office Pick-up, package and ship the specimens when needed High-school or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of specimen collector experience preferred Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Excellent customer service skills required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required Proficient in data entry required Urine Drug Screening (UDS) collection experience highly preferred Clean driving record and valid driver license required Reliable mode of transportation required
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic/medical office/lab setting
