We are looking for a highly qualified part-time Phlebotomy Instructor with experience teaching & working in the field of phlebotomy. As an instructor, your essential responsibilities will include: Teaching Phlebotomy curriculum to students; the theoretical background for the tasks they will be performing in the field of Phlebotomy by using instructors' knowledge and skills to encourage student learning & clinical participation. The Instructor is responsible for providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain certification and employment in their training field.
Phlebotomy Instructor Requirements Required Qualifications:
Must be a certified Phlebotomist Must have a minimum of two years work experience in the field as a Phlebotomist Associates Degree with a credential in a health science profession, preferred Must have a minimum of two years teaching/training experience in the medical field Must be CPR Certified Required Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to operate phlebotomy & audio-visual equipment; be able to use all current technology Friendly, positive attitude and cross-cultural sensitivity
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To instruct and teach students (min.10 hrs/wk for 12 weeks) according with the provided schedule and requirements. To teach total hours of clinical skills (lab) according to the provided schedule and requirements. To inform students about course requirements, including grading, testing & attendance policies of HCIL. Keep students informed on their progress by preparing grades, exams, and course work in a timely manner. Establish office hours, in conjunction with HCIL staff, to meet student's needs for tutoring purposes. To coordinate the rotation of the students in the affiliated clinical facilities. To perform evaluation of the program and clinical affiliated facilities. To establish new relationships with potential clinical affiliated facilities. To maintain medical education requirements and certifications current, including but not limited to, CE hours. To collect and analyze feedback data about the programs from the students, faculty and supporting staff. Instructor will use technology, such as computers, projectors, PowerPoint, and DVD equipment to enhance teaching effectiveness. To attend school graduation and other mandatory meetings as instructed by school director. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Education.
