Job Summary and Qualifications Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain specimens for laboratory testing. Transport, process, and perform clerical duties as necessary fortestingpatient samples.
Reports to: Lead Phlebotomist, Lab Manager and Laboratory Director. What You Will Do in This Role You will greet patients and instruct them in proper specimen collection methods. You will draw blood specimens from patients by using finger sticks, heelsticks,or venipunctures and collect other specimens asrequired. You will label specimens for identification purposes accurately and enter specimen data into the computer. You will prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis departments You will assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.
