In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and care, ensuring accurate laboratory testing. Your expertise in venipuncture, specimen processing, and patient interaction will directly contribute to diagnostic accuracy and patient well-being. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using proper techniques to ensure specimen integrity Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing following established protocols Obtain vital signs and assess patient condition to ensure comfort and safety during procedures Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination and ensure specimen quality Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures clearly and addressing patient concerns Document all collection activities meticulously in accordance with hospital policies Follow laboratory procedures and safety guidelines consistently to uphold quality standards Requirements Prior experience with laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory work preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods such as venipuncture Demonstrated ability to perform specimen collection, processing, and handling with precision Strong understanding of patient service principles and the importance of compassionate care Familiarity with hospital environments and experience working within healthcare teams beneficial Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff Certification or training in phlebotomy or related laboratory techniques is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
