Phlebotomist/Surgical assistant- Oral Surgery Clinic (Surgical Assistant Training Provided)

$25 per hour About the Role We are a busy, state-of-the-art oral surgery clinic in Plano, Texas, seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. Phlebotomy is the core skill we need — you will be responsible for starting IVs for IV sedation preparation. We will provide full, hands-on training to turn you into a confident oral surgery assistant. If you are a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working in a clinical setting and wants to expand your career into oral surgery, this is an excellent opportunity. You'll work directly with our oral surgeon in a modern, patient-focused environment where comfort, accuracy, and safety are priorities. Key Responsibilities Perform IV starts, and other diagnostic needs with a high level of patient comfort and minimal discomfort. Monitor and record patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures. Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures (full training provided). Prepare instruments, maintain sterile fields, and follow strict infection control standards. Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients. Support daily clinic operations, patient intake, and maintain a clean, organized treatment environment. Help with inventory management and supply ordering as needed. Requirements Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent with strong, proven phlebotomy experience required. Minimum 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience (hospital, clinic, lab, or outpatient setting). Excellent venipuncture skills with the ability to handle difficult draws calmly and successfully. Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain immediately). Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to patient comfort and safety. Good communication skills and a calm, reassuring bedside manner. Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday in a fast-paced surgical clinic. Prior dental or surgical assisting experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate.
