Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where your expertise in specimen collection and patient care will play a vital role in accurate diagnostics and effective treatment. Duties Collect blood samples through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to proper protocols and aseptic techniques Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration when required for patient assessment Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information with meticulous attention to detail Assist with laboratory procedures by preparing equipment, labeling specimens correctly, and ensuring proper storage Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating empathy Follow infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment during all specimen collection activities Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings with a focus on phlebotomy Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to venipuncture and blood sampling procedures Familiarity with medical terminology used in laboratory testing and patient documentation Hands-on experience with venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing in hospital or clinical environments Strong understanding of aseptic technique to prevent contamination or infection during procedures Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while providing compassionate care Certification or training in phlebotomy or related laboratory techniques is highly preferred but not mandatory; relevant laboratory experience is essential Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patient health outcomes.
