Position Summary:
U.S. Got People is currently seeking a qualified Phlebotomy Technician to join the Laboratory Department at USAF Hospital Langley. This full-time opportunity supports the healthcare needs of our nation's service members, veterans, and their families.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage: $17.75/hour, plus a Health and Welfare stipend Comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Holidays off Schedule availability: Monday - Friday between 6am-8pm. Shifts will normally be 8.5-9 hours with a 30-60-minute lunch. No more than 80 hours every 2 weeks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school equivalent and completion of NAACLS or two part Phlebotomy program.
Certification:
Must be certified at a PBT or RPT Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the
American Heart Association or Red Cross Experience:
Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience within the past two years Required vaccines: Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine

vaccine (if applicable) Responsibilities Include but
Are Not Limited To:
Collect and process patient specimens while verifying identification using two patient identifiers Perform blood draws, urine collection, and various waived point-of-care tests (e.g., glucose monitoring, HCG) Accurately enter and manage data in MHS Genesis and other electronic health record systems Conduct daily ward rounds for specimen collection Screen patients for eligibility for military healthcare prior to testing Handle specimen shipping, including HIV sample prep and same-day shipment Monitor and maintain equipment with daily/weekly/monthly quality control checks Educate patients on specimen collection procedures and direct them as needed Ensure all specimens are properly labeled, processed, and prepared for testing or transport Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and ensure compliance with safety and labeling protocols Support customer service functions such as handling lab calls, greeting visitors, and faxing reports Assist with clerical duties such as compiling lab data and maintaining the reception area Why Join USGP?
