Job Title:

Phlebotomist Job Description The primary role of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various duties, including troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The phlebotomist plays a vital part in ensuring efficient specimen collection and processing. Responsibilities Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately. Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data. Decontaminate work areas and update patient information. Collect and store specimens following established procedures. Explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collections clearly and courteously to patients. Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles. Understand and follow physicians' orders precisely. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes accurately. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Herndon, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
