Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Male Specimen Collector to join our team on a part-time basis . This position involves the collection of a wide range of specimens, including , urine, swabs, and other clinical samples , in a male-only healthcare facility setting.
Estimate work hours:
Location #1: Monday
  • Thursday 7am-1 pm Location #2: Monday
  • Thursday 10 am
  • 3 pm Estimate hours per week: 20 hours
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in specimen collection , a strong understanding of medical protocols, and excellent patient care skills. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate specimen collection, proper labeling, and safe handling in compliance with clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect various types of specimens including urine, nasal/oral swabs, draw blood and collect other clinical samples Confirm and verify patient identification before specimen collection Accurately label, document, and prepare specimens for lab transport Ensure proper storage and handling of specimens according to guidelines Adhere to all infection control, safety, and HIPAA protocols Provide a compassionate and professional experience for patients Communicate and coordinate with laboratory and clinical staff to maintain workflow Maintain supply inventory and cleanliness of collection areas Specimen shipment to the
Lab Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a specimen collector/phlebotomist in a clinical or laboratory setting Skilled in handling various specimen types and blood draws Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and patient privacy (HIPAA) Familiarity with proper labeling and transport procedures Proficient in documenting and organizing samples accurately Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently
