Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join their team in Woodbridge, VA. This is an onsite position in an outpatient (IOP) setting, where the selected candidate will independently perform blood collections, specimen processing, and provide excellent patient care to individuals of all ages. Responsibilities Perform 35-50 successful blood draws per day using standard venipuncture and capillary collection techniques. Collect, label, process, package, and prepare specimens for transport while maintaining specimen integrity. Verify patient identity and accurately enter information into the laboratory computer system. Provide compassionate and professional customer service to patients of all ages. Follow all safety, infection control, and laboratory compliance procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work independently with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. Experience performing 35-50 blood draws daily. Strong venipuncture skills with patients of all ages (pediatric, adult, and geriatric). Experience with specimen processing and packaging. Basic computer skills and data entry experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to stand for 5-6 hours during the shift. Reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an outpatient or patient service center environment. Familiarity with laboratory information systems. Work Environment Outpatient (IOP) setting.
