Job Description

We are looking to fill a Specimen Collector position with an optimistic and enthusiastic individual who is able to work well with patients and orients their work around helping them receive the best possible care. The Specimen Collector will be responsible for working with patients to make sure that their specimen is collected in the best possible manner and will send specimens out for testing.
THIS JOB REQUIRES YOU TO WORK WITH URINE ON A REGULAR BASIS. IF THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO DO, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
No previous experience required! As a
Specimen Collector:
Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens Process and package collections for shipping Serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory Record patient information and pertinent laboratory information Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite Clean and sterilize personal work area and equipment. Follow required procedures and protocols per FMCSA regulations & Non-DOT Regulations. Comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy and Security Rules. You must be able to do the following: Stand for more than 4 hours at a time There may be times where you would have to do an observed collection. This would require you to see specific body parts.
