Shift:
80 hours per bi-weekly pay period Full time Monday-Thursday 2:00 pm-12:30 am with occasional weekend or day shift coverage as needed Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties, and we are seeking a phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Team. Responsibilities of the phlebotomist position include: Collect specimens from patients of all ages using various collection devices. Monitor orders and collection lists assuring timely collection. Perform waived testing procedures, culture set up and assist in specimen processing. Organize, restock, and clean outpatient drawing area and all carts, trays and hand-helds.
Requirements of this position include:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Completion of phlebotomy course or have one year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, lab staff, physicians, nursing staff and other related personnel. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
