Full-time / Days How you'll make an impact in this role: Collect and process blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions. Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. Receive, centrifuge, accession, process, and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders. What minimum qualifications you'll need: Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
Preferred Credential(s): BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). Phlebotomy Tech. Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT). Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. All issuing authorities accepted.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
