Job Description

Overview Join our healthcare team as a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this dynamic role, you will perform blood collection, specimen processing, and assist with clinical procedures to ensure accurate diagnostics and smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the clinical team with vital laboratory and patient care tasks. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture using proper aseptic techniques. Prepare and process laboratory specimens accurately, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Maintain strict adherence to laboratory procedures, safety protocols, infection control standards and cleanliness of lab. Document all procedures thoroughly in patient records while respecting confidentiality. Support the clinical team by performing basic laboratory techniques and ensuring the cleanliness of work areas. Experience Prior experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling. Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood sampling) and phlebotomy is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique enhances effectiveness in this role. Experience working in hospital or outpatient clinics will be advantageous. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Previous exposure to vital signs measurement and basic medical assisting tasks is desirable.
