Job Description
Performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages. Some point-of-care testing. High School Diploma or GED required. Previous phlebotomy experience a plus but not required. Focus on patient care and experience critical to success in this position. Must be able to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Flexible and able to adapt quickly. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Bending required. We're looking for a PRN Lab Assistant (phlebotomist) who can easily fit into the team and have a strong focus on providing an excellent experience. We do provide phlebotomy training for those who do not have previous training. This is a PRN position with no guarantee of a set number of hours - some weeks may have no or minimal hours, other weeks may have 40 hours to cover vacations. Outpatient phlebotomy is open Monday through Friday, no holidays, no weekends. Lab Assistants do perform phlebotomy for inpatients, patients in the OR, and patients in the ER.
