Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based setting and make a genuine difference in the lives of students from kindergarten through high school. This full-time contract position offers the chance to work closely with a diverse group of learners while collaborating with supportive educational teams in a vibrant district located near Helena, AL. You'll play an essential role in enhancing student development across all grade levels by delivering physical therapy services tailored to each child's unique needs. The position runs from August 6th through December 8th, aligning with school hours (7:30 am - 3:00 pm), and involves providing care across multiple school sites within the district—offering both variety and the opportunity to build meaningful professional relationships.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Valid and current Physical Therapist license Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt strategies to support students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade Comfortable servicing multiple campuses throughout the district Passion for working with children and collaborating with educators, families, and support staffKey Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy programs for K-12 students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary team to support students' educational goals Travel to various school sites within the district, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with IEPs Document and report progress regularly, maintaining thorough and timely records Provide training and resources to school staff when needed This school-based opportunity offers a fulfilling blend of professional challenge and personal connection, all within a welcoming educational environment and a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
