About the
Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at UAB Medical West. Provides appropriate supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants and attendants. Supervise assigned PT or PTA students as outlined in the students Fieldwork Education guidelines. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities. Your main goal will be to help patients improve their mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient. This is a full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.Minimum Qualifications:
Current state license as a Physical Therapist Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting Specialization in a specific area of Physical Therapy, such as sports medicine or pediatrics Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsResponsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations to assess their physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans Provide hands-on therapy to patients using a variety of techniques and equipment Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and prevent injury Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient careSkills:
As a Physical Therapist, you will use a variety of skills on a daily basis, including evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, monitoring progress, and educating patients and their families. You will also need strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide compassionate care to patients.
