Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Experience enriching professional practice on assignment in beautiful Northport, AL. This inviting Southern city blends small-town warmth with abundant opportunities to enjoy nature, arts, and culinary delights. This travel assignment is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist eager to broaden clinical expertise by working across inpatient and acute care environments. You'll work with a diverse patient population, including geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases—gaining exposure to varied workplace practices, therapy plans, and interprofessional collaborations. Use advanced assessment skills, refine your documentation, and further develop your approach through collaboration with a skilled healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday One weekend shift required per month Holidays as required
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Doctorate of Physical Therapy required Current Alabama Physical Therapist License in good standing; OT and SLP licenses also considered AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required At least 2 years of experience preferred; will consider candidates with 18 months under supervision, and 1 year in specialty Experience in inpatient and acute units, floating as needed Adept at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and working independently Ability to manage a varied caseload with a focus on detail, safety, and compassion
Key Responsibilities:
Complete evaluations, formulate and implement care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and medical teams Deliver therapeutic interventions for a caseload of approximately 6 patients per day Meet all departmental documentation and quality standards Rotate between varied units as needed, including acute and inpatient settings
