Job Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Pediatric Physical Therapy (Full-Time) Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas (PCCA) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our pediatric physical therapy team. We are a 58-bed long-term care facility serving children ages 0-21 with severe developmental and complex medical needs. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to create a safe, supportive environment focused on growth, mobility, and maximizing each child's potential. The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist is to examine and evaluate pediatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, developmental, congenital, and musculoskeletal conditions to determine a physical therapy diagnosis, prognosis, and individualized plan of care. Our pediatric physical therapy program is designed to optimize mobility, improve functional independence, enhance quality of life, and support children in reaching their highest level of ability. Physical Therapist Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy treatment and actively participate in all assigned duties to ensure the highest standard of pediatric care Review social, psychological, medical, and prior therapy histories Administer appropriate evaluations and standardized testing to establish a comprehensive plan of care Develop measurable goals, objectives, and individualized treatment plans Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions Complete daily, monthly, and annual documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Coordinate care with interdisciplinary medical teams Evaluate patients for adaptive equipment needs, including specialized wheelchair seating and mobility devices Collaborate with the medical team, families, and Medicaid waiver services for equipment planning and caregiver education Communicate with physicians and coordinate care for patients attending orthopedic, neurology, and rehabilitation clinics at ACH Provide supervision and direction for Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) Design and monitor Restorative Aide programs to support ongoing therapeutic progress Education & Licensure Requirements Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy or equivalent degree) Current Arkansas Physical Therapist license required Pediatric physical therapy experience preferred Physical Demands Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, crouching, kneeling, walking, and prolonged standing Ability to independently lift up to 40 lbs Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment Ability to hear and respond to pages and distinguish smells and temperatures Safety-sensitive position Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay:
