Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a physical therapist in a school-based environment. This part-time position (2 days per week) offers you the chance to make a real difference for students with a range of mild to severe needs throughout the academic year and during the extended school year (FSY). Youll enjoy variety in your week as you travel between several sites, providing essential services to help students reach their physical goals and achieve greater independence in the school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid, active Physical Therapist license (required) Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required) Strong organizational skills for managing an itinerant caseload across multiple sites Compassionate communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative PT services to students with varying degrees of physical needs Assess student abilities, set functional goals, and document progress according to IEP requirements Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other service providers for comprehensive care Travel between schools within the district to deliver services as assigned Engage with families and participate in IEP meetings when necessary
