Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist or PTA to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized physical therapy services to pediatric patients, helping children achieve their developmental and functional goals. Your expertise will support children with diverse needs, from acute care scenarios to outpatient therapy, ensuring they receive comprehensive, patient-centered care in hospital, home, and community settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families through innovative therapy techniques and collaborative care planning. Duties Assess pediatric patients' physical conditions by evaluating mobility, strength, coordination, and physiological responses using detailed medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, incorporating therapies such as intensive and traditional models of duration and frequency. Coordinate treatment plan with service coordinators, parents, peer colleagues and school support staff. Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and create home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on physiology responses and clinical observations. Experience Proven experience working with pediatric populations in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology related to pediatrics Demonstrated ability to develop effective care plans that incorporate discharge planning and patient care strategies for children with diverse conditions. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient record management Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
