Responsibilities Evaluate patients and perform comprehensive physical therapy assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Deliver therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and prevention Document evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes in accordance with regulations Adapt treatments across diverse clinical settings and patient populations Participate in quality improvement and best-practice initiatives Communicate regularly with recruiters regarding assignments and goals Maintain licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements Required Skills Physical therapy evaluation and treatment planning Orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation techniques Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise Functional mobility and gait training Use of modalities (e.g., e-stim, ultrasound, heat/cold) Patient and family education Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Outcome measurement and documentation Time management across varied caseloads
