Physical Therapist Location:
Calistoga, CA About Our Client Our Client is a therapist-owned outpatient private practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. The clinic specializes in treating orthopedic, neurological, and balance-related conditions while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Our Client is committed to helping individuals restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life through evidence-based physical therapy interventions. Position Overview Our Client is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join their growing outpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions while developing individualized treatment plans and establishing functional goals for each patient. The Physical Therapist will work closely with Physical Therapist Assistants and other clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care and achieve positive treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities Patient Evaluation & Treatment Evaluate patients presenting with orthopedic, spine, extremity, neurological, balance, and fall-risk conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Utilize sound clinical judgment and evidence-based decision-making throughout the patient's episode of care. Establish measurable functional goals and modify treatment plans as needed. Therapeutic Interventions Deliver skilled physical therapy services including: Therapeutic exercise Therapeutic activities Manual therapy techniques Gait training Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training Neuromuscular re-education Properly apply treatment modalities including: Heat and cold therapy Electrical stimulation (ESTIM) Ultrasound therapy Soft tissue mobilization and massage techniques Progress patients appropriately based on clinical presentation and response to treatment. Documentation & Compliance Complete all patient care documentation from initial evaluation through discharge. Maintain accurate, thorough, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with professional and clinical standards. Update plans of care, progress notes, and physician prescriptions as required. Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, payer, and company requirements. Patient Caseload Management Manage patient schedules proactively to maximize attendance and continuity of care. Assist with reducing cancellations, no-shows, and patient attrition. Follow up with patients as needed to support treatment compliance and successful outcomes. Consistently meet established productivity standards. Team Collaboration & Communication Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Contribute positively to a team-oriented clinical environment. Professional Development Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Maintain licensure and certifications in accordance with applicable state regulations. Stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy. Regulatory Compliance Adhere to all federal, state, payer, and company billing policies and regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher required. Licensure & Certifications Active Physical Therapy License required. CPR Certification preferred. Experience Prior outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience preferred. Experience evaluating and treating a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions preferred. Experience with WebPT or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred. Preferred Skills Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
