  • 400 N Pepper Ave, Colton, CA. 92324 Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Physical Therapist.
  • Start Date:
  • ASAP
  • Contract Length:
  • 13 Weeks with option to continue
  • Pay:
  • $60.00/hr
  • Definition:
  • Under general direction, plan, implement and perform individual therapy programs for the physical rehabilitation of patients; and tests and evaluates a patient's ability to function outside the treatment setting; performs related duties as required.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Positions are assigned to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and are characterized by their responsibility for developing physical treatment programs based on the goals and general recommendations of a physician. This is a trainee classification.
  • Examples of Duties:
  • Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: + Assesses, plans, and implements physical therapy programs based on medical requests; discusses treatment alternatives with physicians and other treatment staff to determine the most appropriate plan.
+ Observes and evaluates the effectiveness of treatment, suggests treatment changes and confers with physicians and other medical staff regarding patients' treatment and progress. Records treatments, evaluations and progress. + Administers ultrasound, moist and dry heat, traction and massage, whirlpool, electrical testing and stimulation, and ultraviolet treatments. Performs tests and measurements. + Develops exercise programs to increase range of motion and strength and to improve balance, coordination and dexterity. Conducts gait training utilizing ambulation aids as required and the use of braces and prostheses. + Instructs patients and their families in self-care programs.
  • Required Experience:
  • Must have 1 year of Outpatient experience

  • Required Certs:
  • PT, AHA - BLS
  • Certification:
  • + Must possess and maintain a valid License as a Physical Therapist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs - Physical Therapy Board and possess and maintain Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support certification.
