Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in California Experience working as a PT in schools or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to meet individualized student needs Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs in accordance with IEPs and educational goals Develop, implement, and monitor individualized PT treatment plans Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes Document sessions, progress, and modifications as required by school policy and laws Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and interdisciplinary discussions Provide staff training and education on physical development and mobility strategies This role offers a rewarding chance to make a difference in students' day-to-day academic experiences, while working alongside passionate professionals in a supportive environment.
