Work Environment Your work will take place onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in El Dorado, where you will be surrounded by a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and modalities necessary for effective patient care. You will work closely with licensed physical therapists and support staff in an environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Administer physical therapy interventions under the supervision of licensed therapists, utilizing various modalities, manual techniques, and exercise prescriptions tailored to individual patient needs. Guide and instruct patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait training, and balance exercises to enhance their recovery and independence. Continuously monitor patient progress before, during, and after therapy sessions, noting changes and reporting findings to the supervising physical therapist. Utilize assistive devices, such as walkers and orthotic equipment, to facilitate improved mobility and safety for patients during their rehabilitation process. Educate patients and their families about post-treatment care plans and exercises to ensure continuity of care outside the facility. Take on mentoring responsibilities, sharing technical skills and knowledge with junior staff to enhance overall team performance and service quality. Engage in administrative duties as required, including documentation of patient progress and maintaining compliance with facility standards. Patient Population / Client Focus As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Body Flow, you will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will encounter a diverse patient demographic, including athletes, elderly patients, and individuals seeking rehabilitation after accidents or injuries. Your role is vital in helping these individuals regain their physical abilities and improve their quality of life. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting. Current California Physical Therapy Assistant License. Possession of a CAPTE-accredited PTA degree and evidence of continued education. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with patients and their families. Excellent interpersonal abilities, fostering a collaborative environment among colleagues. Preferred Experience Experience working in a rehabilitation facility setting, specifically within orthopedic therapy. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise protocols. Background in mentoring and training staff or interns.
