Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Help students achieve their fullest potential in a dynamic school environment dedicated to supporting growth and development. This contract-based assignment near Glendale, CA, offers physical therapists the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults while working alongside a team of passionate educators and professionals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current Physical Therapist license for California (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience providing physical therapy in a school setting is highly beneficial Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and goal setting Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt strategies and interventions for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with physical disabilities or motor challenges Implement direct and consultative physical therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize students' school participation and physical access Monitor and document progress toward therapy goals, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on adaptive equipment, accommodations, and mobility solutions Promote safe and positive movement experiences within the school environment
