Team Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist 3 provides a full range of physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning. The incumbent acts as a clinical resource, though maintenance of a specialty certification and participation in clinical research in the field of expertise. This is a Lymphedema position. Lymphedema certification is required. What It Takes to beSuccessful Required Qualifications:
Physical Therapy License from the California Board of Physical Therapy Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum of 10 years clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated skills to communicate effectively with the appropriate Medical Therapy Units (MTU) as required. Demonstrated clinical research in the field of expertise, with a minimum of one publication every two years in a peer reviewed journal or board certified clinical specialist: Certified Wound Specialist or Certified Wound Management Clinical Specialist, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Certified Specialist, Electrophysiologic Certified Specialist, Geriatric Certified Specialist, Orthopedic Certified Specialist, Pediatric Certified Specialist, Neurologic Certified Specialist, Sports Certified Specialist, Women's Health Certified Specialist or Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification, Certified Oncologic Clinical Specialist, Certified Neonatal Therapist Certified Lymphedema Training (CLT) required Current BLS certification Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
