Work Environment The position is primarily onsite, allowing the Physical Therapist to engage directly with patients in their homes. This setting fosters a more personalized treatment experience and allows for tailored rehabilitation programs in the environments where patients feel most comfortable. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate each patient's condition, including their medical history, functional limitations, and personal goals. Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring alignment with patients' needs and recovery objectives. Engage patients in understanding their treatment journey, facilitating their agreement and commitment to the proposed plan of care. Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including education, progressive exercise prescription, and hands-on manual therapy techniques to optimize patient recovery. Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness of care. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services rendered, adhering to industry standards and organizational protocols for patient records. Patient Population / Client Focus As part of our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients seeking to enhance their overall physical function. Your ability to form meaningful connections with patients will be essential in motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey, enabling them to regain independence and improve quality of life.
Qualifications Education:
Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
Licensure:
Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
Experience:
At least 3 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation.
Skills:
Proficient in manual therapy techniques and the development of exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs. Preferred Experience Strong background in working with elderly populations or patients with complex health issues. Experience in home care settings, demonstrating a flexible approach to treatment in various environments. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care efficiently. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this role ranges from
USD 90,000
to 110,000, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
