Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at Professional Performance Physical Therapy in beautiful San Mateo, California. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough movement assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for each patient, focusing on specific orthopedic conditions. Monitor each patient's progress closely, documenting findings and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery. Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities and utilize state-of-the-art equipment to support patients' rehabilitation processes. Engage in patient education, demonstrating exercises and self-management strategies that empower patients in their ongoing recovery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. This diverse patient population requires tailored treatment approaches, ensuring that each individual receives personalized, effective care that addresses their specific challenges and goals. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation principles. Hold an active California Physical Therapy license or be eligible to obtain one prior to starting the position. Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to develop evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to each patient's unique needs. Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills to confidently engage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a preference for those who have worked within an outpatient setting. Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for patient documentation and tracking progress. A background in continuing education or specialization in orthopedic physical therapy is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
