1 Description American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient/rehabilitation contract in Santa Maria, CA with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Details Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting on the Central Coast of California Day shift schedule 40 hours per week Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs Position involves supervising PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care EMR used for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries Requirements Active CA PT license required (license required if applicable) Degree in Physical Therapy required Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience Proficiency in EMR documentation Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and PT billing procedures Ability to lift 50+ lbs, assist with patient transfers, and remain physically mobile for 8-10 hour shifts including prolonged standing and walking Strong computer skills including typing, Word, and internet applications Ability to make independent clinical decisions regarding patient care Additional Information This facility has been awarded Private Practice of the Year by the APTA Responsibilities include patient chart documentation, prescription follow-up, authorizations, and coordination with physicians and front office staff Position involves communication with physicians, co-workers, and other offices via phone, fax, and email Candidate is expected to be involved in business marketing and referral processes as needed Continuing education courses are preferred Candidates must adhere to HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures No travel is required for this position
