Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Physical Therapist to a dynamic school setting near Bridgeport, CT. Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist with a current state credential Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred Strong knowledge of developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families Adaptable and creative, with the ability to tailor interventions for diverse student needs Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs within the educational environment Develop treatment plans and deliver targeted interventions that support students' mobility, access, and participation in school activities Collaborate with educators, administrators, and caregivers to design strategies that foster student independence Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings Provide ongoing support and resources to teachers and staff for classroom accommodations Act as a resource for promoting safe and inclusive environments This position offers a flexible schedule in a supportive school community, making it a great fit for those who appreciate meaningful work without sacrificing life balance.
