This contract-based position is designed for a dedicated PT skilled in navigating the unique needs of school environments. Enjoy a dynamic role near Falls Village, CT, focusing on consultative services and occasional direct intervention with students at HVRHS. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, a passion for empowering students, and comfort with autonomous decision-making. Collaboration with school teams is key, and this position does not require (and cannot accommodate) oversight of a physical therapist assistant.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut Experience providing PT services in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Exceptional communication and consultation skills Able to independently manage workflow without PTA oversight Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide physical therapy consultations for students Deliver occasional one-on-one or small group PT interventions for students at HVRHS Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment recommendations Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state standards Adapt to a flexible schedule based on student and school needs
