Work Environment You will be working in an outpatient clinic designed to facilitate comfort and interaction between staff and patients. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured yet relaxed working rhythm conducive to focused patient care. With state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and modalities, you will have access to the latest technology to support your treatment approaches and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough evaluations of patients' needs and challenges to construct individualized rehabilitation plans aimed at achieving their specific goals. Administer hands-on therapy sessions and therapeutic exercises tailored to address a variety of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, ensuring safe and effective treatment protocols. Maintain open communication lines with referring physicians and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless care transitions and comprehensive treatment approaches. Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on treatment protocols and lifestyle changes necessary for optimal recovery, enhancing their engagement in the rehabilitation process. Utilize outcome tracking metrics to monitor patient progress and adapt interventions as needed to ensure the best possible health outcomes. Contribute to a collaborative clinic culture that prioritizes professional development, continuing education, and mutual respect among team members. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes, sports enthusiasts to individuals recovering from surgeries or chronic pain conditions. The clinic focuses on creating personalized therapeutic journeys, ensuring that every individual receives care tailored to their unique health challenges and rehabilitation goals. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, and candidates with a Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or MPT) from an accredited institution will be strongly considered. A valid Connecticut Physical Therapy License, or the eligibility to obtain one, is essential for this position. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - you should be able to connect with patients compassionately while maintaining professionalism. A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continual personal and professional growth. Preferred Experience 2 years of experience working in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred, particularly in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and familiarity with EMR tools will be beneficial.
