Full-Time, Part-Time, Hourly, & Fee-for-Service ______________________________________________________________________ About TheraCare TheraCare has been delivering Early Intervention services throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Our mission is to help children from birth to age 3 reach developmental milestones through individualized, evidence-based physical therapy. We are currently seeking Physical Therapists who are passionate about pediatric therapy and early developmental care. Position Overview As a Physical Therapist, you will provide therapy services to infants and toddlers experiencing gross motor delays. Therapy is delivered in natural environments such as homes or community settings, and emphasizes collaboration with families to support carryover into daily routines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations and provide direct physical therapy services to children ages 0-3.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with IFSP goals.
  • Coach families on home-based strategies to promote motor development.
  • Document all services in compliance with CT Early Intervention program standards.
  • Attend IFSP meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Adjust therapy plans based on child progress and feedback.

Qualifications:
  • Current CT license and registration as a Physical Therapist.
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric development and early intervention practices.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Reliable transportation to conduct home and community visits.
Physical Requirements:
  • Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.
